OCCASIONAL WIFE - THE COMPLETE SERIES (NBC 1966-1967) VERY RARE!!! Michael Callan, Patricia Harty, Jack Collins
Occasional Wife is a stylish, mid-1960s workplace romantic comedy built around a clever—and risky—deception. Michael Callan stars as Peter Christopher, a successful junior executive and confirmed bachelor who fully enjoys the single life. Unfortunately, Peter’s career hits a ceiling when it becomes clear that promotion at his company depends on one thing: having a wife.
Peter’s old-fashioned boss, baby-food tycoon Max Brahms (Jack Collins), is a firm believer in marriage, family values, and domestic stability—beliefs shaped by the very products he sells. Desperate to move up the corporate ladder, Peter hatches a plan after meeting a young hat-check girl, Greta Patterson (Patricia Harty).
Peter convinces Greta to pose as his “occasional” wife at company functions. In exchange, he helps set her up in an apartment just two floors above his own in a Manhattan high-rise. What follows is a whirlwind of misunderstandings, close calls, and comic complications as the unlikely duo struggles to maintain their elaborate charade without being exposed.
Light, fast-paced, and very much a product of its era, Occasional Wife delivers romantic comedy fueled by workplace pressure, social expectations, and the constant fear of being found out.
This six-disc box set contains all 30 half hour episodes produced - the complete series.
