BACHELOR FATHER – JOHN FORSYTHE SITCOM (1957-1961

Never-married Beverly Hills attorney Bentley Gregg (John Forsythe) takes on the responsibility of raising his young orphaned niece Kelly (Noreen Corcoran) after her parents die in an accident. Bently, with the added help of his houseboy Peter (Sammee Tong)  The job was easier when Kelly was a little girl, but now she's in her teens, and beginning to date and venture into the adult world, while Bentley continues to juggle his career, looking after Kelly, and his own romantic life.

Among the series guest stars were Barbara Eden, Jack Albertson, Donna Douglas, Edgar Bergen, Bill Bixby, Billy Gray, Ryan O'Neal, Frankie Laine, Mary Tyler Moore and singer Patti Page. Eddie Anderson, who portrayed "Rochester" on The Jack Benny Show, reprised his role in the Season 5 episode, "Pinch That Penny." Fifteen-year-old Linda Evans also appeared in a guest spot on the series as one of Kelly's friends. Evans and Forsythe later starred in the primetime soap opera Dynasty together.

The series was based on "A New Girl in His Life," which aired on General Electric Theater on May 26, 1957. (Please note: this episode is unfortunately not available at this time and is not included in this set.)  Bachelor Father was the only primetime series ever to run in consecutive years on the three major television networks (ABC, CBS and NBC)
