Four stories unfold on board:

A sloppy salesman, played by Gabe Kaplan, falls for a glamorous model.

Wealthy, overbearing parents, played by Tom Bosley and Cloris Leachman, disapprove of their daughter’s romantic choice.

A smooth-talking business executive, played by Hal Linden, becomes attracted to a shy young woman, played by Karen Valentine.

A philandering husband, played by Don Adams, considers a sinister way to avoid an expensive divorce from his wife, played by Florence Henderson.

Starring: Florence Henderson, Don Adams, Gabe Kaplan, Dick Van Patten, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Tom Bosley, Hal Linden, Karen Valentine, Jimmy Baio, Beverly Sanders, Laurette Spang, William Bassett, Ted Hamilton, Sandy Helberg, and Terry O’Mara.

Two additional television movies—The Love Boat II and The New Love Boat—followed before the weekly series premiered in September 1977.
