THE GOLDEN GIRLS – THE COMPLETE SERIES (NBC 1985-1992) Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, Estelle Getty, Herb Edelman, Harold Gould
Step into the warmth and laughter of The Golden Girls, the beloved comedy about four vibrant women sharing a home in Miami while making the most of their “golden years.”
Sharp-witted divorcee Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur), sweet but naïve Rose Nylund (Betty White), and charming Southern belle Blanche Devereaux (Rue McClanahan) form an unlikely but devoted friendship filled with humor, heart, and unforgettable moments. Completing the household is Dorothy’s quick-tongued mother Sophia Petrillo (Estelle Getty), whose razor-sharp wit keeps everyone on their toes.
Stanley Zbornak (Herb Edelman), Dorothy’s ex-husband, was seen throughout the series trying to get Dorothy back after he dumped her for a young bimbo.
Scatterbrained Rose, for a time, had a boyfriend named Miles Webber (Harold Gould), who unfortunately turned out to be a former mob accountant in the Witness Protection program and had to leave town temporarily when his cover was blown.
In the final episode, wedding bells broke up the gang as Dorothy married Blanche’s visiting uncle Lucas (Leslie Nielsen) and made her departure for Atlanta. The following fall, Blanche sold the house and with Rose and Sophia, moved into a new series, The Golden Palace.
Filled with witty dialogue, memorable characters, and timeless humor, The Golden Girls became one of television’s most celebrated sitcoms, earning multiple Emmy Awards and a permanent place in TV history.
