Florabelle's world changes when Carrie (Daphne Zuniga), a young social worker posing as a homeless woman, approaches her. Rather than simply observing from the outside, Carrie learns firsthand what it takes to survive without a home. Florabelle introduces her to the hidden world beneath the city, including the underground passages and shelters of Grand Central Station, while revealing the harsh realities faced by people living on the streets.
