Inspired by Peter Bogdanovich’s acclaimed 1973 motion picture starring Ryan O’Neal and his real-life daughter, Tatum O’Neal, Paper Moon was originally based on Joe David Brown’s 1971 novel, Addie Pray.

This short-lived 1974 television adaptation stars Christopher Connelly as smooth-talking drifter Moses Pray and Jodie Foster as Addie, the resourceful young girl believed to be his daughter. Although their relationship is often uncertain and frequently argumentative, Moses and Addie make an unforgettable team as they travel from town to town, staying one step ahead of trouble.
