Gilligan's Planet is the animated sequel to The New Adventures of Gilligan, continuing the adventures of the beloved castaways from the classic television series. At long last, the Professor successfully builds a working interplanetary spaceship, giving Gilligan and the others a chance to escape their deserted island. Unfortunately, true to their legendary bad luck, the launch goes horribly wrong, and they crash-land on a mysterious planet capable of supporting human life.

Although they have escaped the island, the castaways soon discover they are stranded once again—this time on a strange alien world filled with colorful landscapes, bizarre creatures, and incredible dangers. With their spaceship badly damaged, the Professor begins yet another series of inventive attempts to repair their only means of returning home.

Retaining the charm and humor of the original series, Gilligan's Planet reimagines familiar adventures with a science-fiction twist. Encounters with island natives, shipwrecked sailors, and exotic wildlife are replaced by friendly and hostile aliens, futuristic civilizations, and fantastic extraterrestrial creatures. Joining the cast is Bumper, a lovable reptilian alien who quickly becomes Gilligan's faithful pet and companion, adding even more fun and comedy to the group's unforgettable adventures across the stars.
