Laverne & Shirley is a beloved American sitcom that ran for eight highly successful seasons on ABC from January 27, 1976, to May 10, 1983. A hit spin-off of Happy Days, the series stars Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams as Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney—two working-class best friends and roommates navigating life, love, and laughter.

Set initially in late-1950s Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the duo works as bottle-cappers at the fictitious Shotz Brewery, getting into endless comic mishaps fueled by optimism, ambition, and their unbreakable friendship. Beginning with the sixth season, the series shifts its setting to mid-1960s Burbank, California, as Laverne and Shirley chase new opportunities on the West Coast.

The show features a colorful and unforgettable supporting cast, including Michael McKean and David Lander as the lovable troublemakers Lenny Kosnowski and Andrew “Squiggy” Squiggman, Eddie Mekka as smooth-talking Carmine Ragusa, Phil Foster as Laverne’s gruff but caring father Frank DeFazio, and Betty Garrett as the sharp-tongued yet warmhearted landlady Edna Babish.
