Fresh from the worldwide success of Hart to Hart, Robert Wagner stars in the stylish drama Lime Street as James Culver, a sophisticated, globe-trotting insurance investigator who divides his time between his London career and his Virginia horse farm, where he is raising his two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret Ann (Samantha Smith and Maia Brewton), with the loving support of his father, Henry Wade Culver, played by Lew Ayres.

The outstanding supporting cast includes Patrick Macnee as Sir Geoffrey Rimbatten, Anne Harvey as Evelyn Camp, John Standing as Edward Wingate, and Julie Fulton as Celia Westphal.

Before the series premiered, tragedy struck when 13-year-old Samantha Smith, who portrayed Elizabeth Culver, was killed in a plane crash on August 25, 1985. Only five episodes had been completed at the time of her death, and the producers chose not to recast her role. Although plans were considered to explain Elizabeth's absence by having the character move to Paris to live with her mother, the idea was ultimately abandoned. The series premiered on September 21, 1985, and was dedicated to Samantha Smith's memory.

Despite its promising cast and international setting, Lime Street was canceled before its final three produced episodes were broadcast on network television. This exclusive 3-DVD collection features all eight episodes, including the three unaired installments, making it the most complete presentation of this rare and sought-after series.
