Jack Brennan (George Hamilton) is a troubleshooting diplomat working at the American embassy in Paris for the U.S. State Department. Any American in trouble would call the embassy’s phone number Paris 7000 and Brennan would come to their service. Jack is assisted by his aide Robert Stevens and his liaison with the Paris police is detective Jules Maurois.

This action-adventure series was a mid-season replacement running for ten episodes during early 1970. Unfortunately, there is only one episode currently available from the show.  “Call Me Ellen” was the last episode, airing on March 26, 1970, and it features Barbara Anderson (Ironside) and Jacques Aubuchon.

The story is a return to an earlier episode, “Call Me Lee” (episode three that aired February 5, 1970) that had Jack falling in love with Leona (Lee), a blonde stewardess played by Barbara Anderson, who would die and her role in a smuggling ring was revealed. Seven episodes later and the series final episode, “Call Me Ellen” would feature a surprising twist to Leona’s story.

Episode description: Brennan tries to relive an old romance. He's fallen in love with Ellen Blake, a lookalike to a sweetheart who was murdered.

The episode has faded with time, but the over-all quality is good, as you can see from the photos.  Very enjoyable to watch. If anyone has any additional episodes from Paris 7000, please contact us.
