Wrongfully imprisoned years earlier, Blake escaped captivity and dedicated his life to seeking justice for those with nowhere else to turn. Traveling the country aboard his luxurious private jet, The Spirit, Tony combines dazzling sleight of hand, ingenious illusions, and state-of-the-art gadgets to expose criminals, unravel impossible mysteries, and outwit dangerous adversaries.

During the first half of the series, Tony is assisted by his loyal pilot and confidant Jerry Wallace (Jim Watkins), newspaper columnist Max Pomeroy (Keene Curtis), and Max's resourceful son Dennis (Todd Crespi). Midway through the season, Tony takes up residence at the legendary Magic Castle in Hollywood, where his new companion, the affable Dominick (Joseph Sirola), joins him in his remarkable adventures.

Originally airing during the 1973–1974 television season, The Magician blended mystery, action, suspense, humor, and spectacular stage magic into one of television's most unique crime dramas. The series featured an impressive roster of guest stars, including Mark Hamill, William Shatner, Jessica Walter, John Colicos, Susan Saint James, Barry Sullivan, Nehemiah Persoff, David Doyle, and many more.
