When Kayleigh (Danica McKellar), a newspaper writer at The Globe in NYC has her column cancelled right before Christmas by the new editor, she heads home to be with her sister Amy (April Telek) and her family near Tahoe and helps out in her bakery.

Kayleigh then gets an unexpected visit from the unmarried editor who shows up in the small town to right a wrong, trying his best to convince her to come back to the paper.

The magic of Christmas and the quaintness of the rural surroundings helps both to have a change of heart.

The film also features Andrew Francis, Ronald Patrick Thompson, Dan Payne and Karen Kruper.
