BRENNER - THE COLLECTION (CBS 1959-1964) Edward Binns, James Broderick

$ 19.95
- +

Set in the mean streets of New York City, Brenner was one of the best of the early crime shows, with an entertaining and unusual twist: the cops are father and son. This gripping drama follows the exploits of Lt. Roy Brenner (Edward Binns), a hardened twenty year veteran of the NYPD, and his son Ernie (James Broderick), an idealistic rookie on the force.

Together they battle crime, with distinctively different styles and approaches, but with the same goal: To stop crime before it happens if they can, and to apprehend and bring to justice those who break the law.

The series attracted many fine supporting players, Iike Nicolas Caster, Fred Gwynne. Mitch Ryan, and Frank Campanella. But the real stars of the show are the NYPD, New York‘s finest. as they try to hold the line against the worst the criminal world can throw at them.

Actor James Broderick is best remembered for playing Doug Lawrence on the 70s drama series Family.
