3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN (NBC 1996-2001)

This Emmy-winning sitcom stars John Lithgow as the leader of a team of aliens sent undercover to Earth to probe the idiosyncrasies of human civilization, which they then report back to their boss, the Giant Big Head. Posing as a (very peculiar) family living in Ohio, the goofy aliens (Kristen Johnston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and French Stewart) frequently find themselves bewildered by romance and other peculiarities of life on Earth. Dr. Mary Albright (Jane Curtin) is a professor of anthropology at Pendelton State University, and many of the issues with which the four aliens struggle appear in her conversation and work.
